七月份應是炎熱的夏季，山區中的温度，在今年卻有點反常。雨後的「卡羅伴泥」帶著侵人的絲絲寒意，整座村落都罡蓋在濃濃的霧氣之中。近黃昏之時，風已歇息，氣温卻迅速降低，但空氣卻是異常的清新，個人在此做深呼吸，幾乎可感覺到那薄薄新鮮的氧氣，直透心肺，令人精神為之一振，忘了身在何處。

個人在此山中歲月，會忘掉自我，也會忘掉那些所謂的世界大事。或說，這個村鎮本身也已被遺忘了？
在這兒有濃厚的五十年代的古典味，外界的資訊不論已進步到什麼程度，在此所有的資訊只限於山中的平淡事，唯一的交通工具是閣下的雙腿。而此處唯一要做的，就是平淡的生活，平淡的渡過生老病死！

也許，平淡的生活，只是人生中的其中一種理念？也許，貪嗔痴迷也是人生中的點綴部份？也許，二分法門的世界就是這樣，平淡與虛榮、智慧與無明；生死動靜，一切都在矛盾中維持延續下去？
以人類有限的腦筋，去嘗試理解或為生命劃出一道衡量，是極痛苦而徒勞之事！從超越人類腦子的整體意識來看，一切切只是自然的發生著，根本不可能用任何思想去判斷或分析。試想想，碧藍的天空、白皚的雪峰；古老的村莊，雨後的新意，這一切若沒有個人的觀點在讚嘆，沒有個人的意識去認識，則一切切只是默默的發生著，根本不可能有任何得失善惡的衡量！人類的腦子是否太「多管閒事」了呢？或是說連這腦子的多管閒事，也是整體自然的部份？
夜幕逐漸低沉，那老人東看看西望望，實在沒有什麼新鮮事可管，他駝著背抖擻著起身，在轉身回到温暖小屋之前，順便撿起一塊小石，呼喝丟趕在門前啄食的雞群。然後，一切恢復平靜，沒有任何多餘的知覺需要去覺知，這寧靜的一夜的來臨！
